WordPress Multilingual Plugin (WPML) is used on sites that have more than one language. Ex. English/Spanish or English/French. If your site is not multilingual and you are interested in using this tool please reach out to our Solutions Engineering team.

1. Add a new slide

Under ‘DI Slides’, click on Add New.

2. Give your slide a title, and Set to a Slider

Click on Homepage, and then ‘Set to Slider’. Once you hit ‘Set to Slider’, you will have the option to attached an image or video.

3. Select Image or Video for your slide

Upload the desktop and mobile image accordingly.
NOTE: Desktop images have a recommended size of 1920x600px and mobile images have a recommended size of 600x400px.

Optional Settings

If you want the slide to link to a different page, you can insert the URL in the box.
Be sure to edit the slide pause duration if you wish to have the slide up longer than 5 seconds.

Video

Enter in the video URL OR Youtube ID.
NOTE: The default slider pause will be 5 seconds, so if your video is longer, be sure to extend the pause duration.

4. Publish the first language slide

5. Add the slide on the secondary language site

After you click on “Publish,” you will see more options populate in the “Language” box. Click on the blue “+” to start adding your slide to the secondary language site.

After you click on the blue “+”, you will notice the main language toggle at the top of the WordPres menu change.

6. Repeat steps 2-4 to complete the second slide upload

Publish the second language slide

Re-Order your slides

If you would like your slides to be in a specific order, click “DI Slides,” then “Re-Order.” You can then click and drag to re-order your slides in the order you wish. When you are done, click “Update” to save your changes. Be sure to re-order your slides on both the English site and the secondary language site.
